Decorating Room Ideas
Not all home decorating ideas require a huge investment of time and money. If you’re looking for a few affordable home interior decorating ideas to freshen up a room over a weekend, try these ten.
1. Rearrange the Furniture- Pull your furniture away from the walls. Try positioning it at intriguing angles. For example, a sofa arranged diagonally across a narrow living room will make the room look wider.
2. Paint A Wall- Paint one wall your favorite color and make it the focal point. Hang interesting art on that wall and move a nice piece of furniture there. (Make sure that the color is one that is shared with several other objects and fabrics in the room.)

The color ORANGE is a power color. It’s not a good color to use in a kitchen if you’re on a diet as it is said that it increases the craving for food. Orange symbolizes enthusiasm, creativity, warmth, play, endurance and vitality. If your favorite color is orange, you’re probably a curious person who loves to explore new things. People who like the color orange are most often caring and honest. Orange is a dynamic color and can be used in a similar manner, for similar purposes as red, yet it is not as harsh. Orange can be used in a room to increase creativity, provide levity and create action.
YELLOW is a color that is great for kitchens as one of the properties of the color is to increase metabolism. Yellow symbolizes happiness, joy, wisdom, intellectual energy and it brings clarity and awareness into a room. It is cheery and warm, but be careful of the shade that you use when decorating with it. Since yellow reflects a high amount of light, it is the color that is most fatiguing to the eye. Bright or mustard shades of yellow can also generate feelings of frustration and anger. It has been noted that babies tend to cry more and people are more likely to lose their tempers in yellow rooms.
